K-State couple shares why they give back
We went to K-State. Our four sons and four daughters-in-law went to K-State. We hope some of our grandkids go to K-State, too. We started giving in small ways and grew to give more. Both of us feel like we took so much good away from K-State, and we want to give something back. We feel it’s important to give students the opportunities to do something they might not have been able to do otherwise. I (Chuck) was in K-State Singers, and it was a tremendous learning experience for me. It put me in front of people on stage, which was a help later in life toward not being afraid to speak in public. We support a wide variety of areas across campus. That’s the point of a university experience — try out lots of things and find out what you like and don’t like.
