K-State student shares how a semester in Italy changed his life
Thanks to K-State donors, I have experienced an entirely different culture and this has changed my life in so many ways. As a result of the Goss Discovery Scholarship, I was able to study at John Cabot University in Rome. I have completely fallen in love with Rome and I couldn’t be more grateful for my four months spent there making friends, seeing beautiful villages and taking in the beauty of life. I hope to one day move to Italy and start a life there.
I’ll graduate in 2018. Who knows where my next step will occur. The following is something I wrote on my blog while I was in Rome: “L’ultima cosa che devo dire è sono felice. Non sono mai stato così felice prima. Questo è stato il mio sogno, e l’ho finalmente realizzato.” It means, “The last thing I need to tell you is that I am happy. I’ve never been so happy before. This was my dream and I finally realized it.”
