At the fall KSU Foundation Board of Trustees meeting, trustees Curt and Sherry Frasier, Beloit, Kansas, were awarded the Kansas State University Medal of Excellence, which recognizes those who have advanced K-State through exceptional service, leadership and philanthropic contributions.
Sherry received her degree in elementary education from K-State in 1973. Curt also graduated from K-State in 1973 with a degree in animal sciences and industry. He went on to earn his juris doctorate from Washburn University in 1976.
Curt and Sherry are both KSU Foundation Trustees and Curt has served on the KSU Foundation Board of Directors. They are very active with the K-State Alumni Association, participating in the Alumni Association’s student recruitment letter-writing campaign and Wildcats for Higher Education, Curt served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors and chaired the Alumni Center campaign. They were founding members of the Catbackers Club in Beloit, and they served on committees for the Innovation and Inspiration Campaign that raised $1.6 billion for K-State. They invest in K-State Athletics and support K-State students with the Frasier Family Study Abroad Scholarship in Education.
