Eligible employees may apply for grant Kansas State University employees whose employment has been directly impacted from circumstances due to loss of federal funding may be eligible to apply for one-time grant funds of $1,000.
The eligibility is outlined as follows:
- K-State faculty, university support staff or unclassified employees terminated due to federal work stop orders or cancellations
- Emergency furloughed K-State faculty, university support staff or unclassified employees
Priority will be given to those demonstrating need and awards will be reviewed each business day in the order of application. The certification process will take 1-2 business days after the application has been submitted. Checks will be mailed 3-4 days after the certification process. If your address differs from what is on file with K-State Human Resources, your check must be picked up in the lobby of the KSU Foundation at 1800 Kimball Avenue, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Be prepared with the following information
- Full name
- K-State eID
- Employee ID number
- University department
- Primary phone number
- Description of how of the federal work stop orders or cancellations and your furlough has created a financial hardship for you
- Mailing address
