Following a vote at the September 5 meeting of the Kansas State University Foundation’s Board of Trustees in Manhattan, Kansas, four members were reelected and three were newly elected to three-year terms on the foundation’s board of directors. Also confirmed that day were 49 board of trustees renominations and 58 new nominees — the foundation’s largest class to date.
The KSU Foundation now has 434 trustees serving as the university’s premier advocates, ambassadors and investors. The foundation’s board of directors oversees management, control and supervision of the foundation’s business and affairs.
Reelected to the board of directors were Ray Dempsey, Vienna, Virginia; Gabriel Hernandez, Overland Park, Kansas; Jim Johnson, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Chuck Warta, Mesa, Arizona.
Candace Duncan, Bethesda, Maryland; Terry Matlack, Leawood, Kansas; and Charlie Morrison, Southlake, Texas; were each elected to their first three-year terms on the board of directors. All three are graduates of K-State’s College of Business Administration, with Duncan receiving a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Matlack a bachelor’s degree in business administration and Morrison a bachelor’s degree in management.
