KSU Foundation announces Stephanie Froehlich as new senior vice president of development

The Kansas State University Foundation welcomes Stephanie Froehlich as the new senior vice president of development. Froehlich comes to the foundation from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where she served as senior associate vice chancellor for development.

As senior vice president of development, Froehlich will lead all aspects of fundraising, working with foundation leadership, campus partners and the KSU Foundation board to strengthen the foundation’s overall fundraising capacity.

“I am thrilled to join the K-State family and the KSU Foundation in this important role,” said Froehlich. “From the early stages of this process, it has been clear to me that the values and culture of the KSU Foundation are uniquely cohesive with my own approach and passion for excellence.”

At UAMS, Arkansas’s only academic health system, Froehlich led all frontline fundraising for the institution, including major and mid-level giving, prospect research and management, planned giving, corporate engagement, and foundation relations. Prior to that role, she led the central advancement function for UAMS, then including principal gifts, corporate and foundation relations, annual giving, alumni relations, donor relations, special events, support associates and planned giving.

Prior to UAMS, Froehlich led the College of Human Sciences development team at Auburn University. Previous roles at Auburn included successive positions at the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business, culminating as director of corporate and foundation relations. Froehlich began her development career as a community representative and e-revenue manager for the American Cancer Society Mid-South Division.

“We are excited to have Stephanie Froehlich join the KSU Foundation team as senior vice president of development,” said Greg Willems, CEO and president of the KSU Foundation. “Stephanie’s record of success, commitment to excellence and experience in fundraising management provides the elite leadership we need to deliver on the bold fundraising goals we have set for K-State over the next decade.”

“Stephanie is an exceptional addition to our team of development professionals at the KSU Foundation at this critical time,” said Richard Myers, president of Kansas State University. “Her experience and leadership skills are essential as the university relies more and more on philanthropic support. I am excited to have her join the already outstanding team at the KSU Foundation.”

Froehlich received her bachelor’s in marketing from Auburn University’s business school and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive. Her husband, Dan Froehlich, is a public relations professional and they have two sons, Jackson and Cole.

“I look forward to partnering with this immensely talented and passionate team to further the bold advancement of Kansas State University,” said Froehlich. “My family and I have already been welcomed with open arms by this community and organization, and we look forward to a new chapter as Wildcats.”

Froehlich will begin work at the KSU Foundation on October 25, 2021. As Kansas State University’s strategic partner for philanthropy, the KSU Foundation inspires and guides philanthropy toward university priorities to boldly advance K-State family. Visit www.ksufoundation.org for more information.
