Fulcrum Global Capital establishes office location in K-State Office Park

Fulcrum Global Capital, a venture capital firm specializing in early-stage investing in companies focused on agriculture, agriculture technology and animal health, is establishing an office in the K-State Office Park at 1880 Kimball Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas, adjacent to Kansas State University’s main campus. The Fulcrum team and K-State Office Park have formed a strategic partnership as the venture capital partners in residence to create access for potential and existing K-State Office Park partner-tenants to consulting around business models and funding in addition to their work with campus, regional and worldwide partners.

“With K-State’s incredible body of knowledge, research and expertise in agriculture, grain science and animal health, and the proximity of the K-State Office Park to the university and NBAF (National Bio Agro-defense Facility), we have the unique opportunity to cultivate partnerships with campus, federal and corporate entities,” Fulcrum Global Capital partner and chief financial officer Kevin Lockett said. “This location also allows us to involve graduate-level K-State students in projects with global impact.”

Launched with an innovative team of industry and K-State alumni leaders, Fulcrum Global Capital is the newest partner-tenant to engage the expertise and research of Kansas State University to strategically address global food systems.

“By establishing their newest office in the K-State Office Park, Fulcrum Global Capital adds more than 100 years of cumulative industry experience to K-State and the Manhattan area,” said Greg Lohrentz, KSU Foundation senior vice president of operations and finance. “They have developed excellent working relationships with the university and city of Manhattan and are familiar with the goals of the KSU Foundation and the office park. We are pleased they have chosen the K-State Office Park as a base to expand their global influence and investment in agriculture-related research and technologies.”

As Kansas State University’s strategic partner for philanthropy, the KSU Foundation inspires and guides philanthropy toward university priorities to boldly advance K-State family. The foundation is leading Innovation and Inspiration: The Campaign for Kansas State University to raise $1.4 billion for student success, faculty development, facility enhancement and programmatic success.
