The Kansas State University Student Foundation helps develop a culture of giving on campus by providing opportunities for philanthropic leadership throughout the year. The Foundation hosts events for alumni and students alike that help encourage support for KSU.
Our work
Annually, Student Foundation members help execute a nationally recognized student fundraising campaign known as K-State Proud. The proceeds from this campaign benefit Student Opportunity Awards allocated to students who have exhausted all other forms of financial support.

Other activities include hosting alumni and donors on campus, which allows our members to develop professionally during their college careers. Our Fall project, Why I Give Week, celebrates the spirit of philanthropy on campus with different activities that involve students, donors, and faculty.
Sponsored by the KSU Foundation, Student Foundation works with foundation staff and volunteers to uphold the mission of uniting philanthropic desires with university priorities through the following initiatives:
- K-State Proud Student Campaign
- Proud’s Day to Help Students Stay
- Why I Give Week
- Student Opportunity Awards
Professional development
Interactions with donors and alumni offer Student Foundation members many opportunities for professional development. Members can hone their networking and public speaking skills by hosting events for alumni and stewarding our unique donors to the university. Mentorship opportunities with our trustees give our members opportunities to learn from established professionals.
