Over 20 years of memories

The Whispering Garden was created in Fall 2004. To date, more than 2,600 pets are honored in the garden.

About the Whispering Garden

A gift of $150 or more provides a lasting tribute to a current or departed animal companion in the Whispering Garden. Whether you’re celebrating your own pet or honoring a beloved companion who holds a special place in the life of a friend or family member, each tribute becomes part of this unique outdoor remembrance.

The honored pet’s photo will join others celebrating companion animals past and present. A granite-lined pathway guides visitors through the Whispering Garden to remember, reflect and smile upon cherished memories and current joys.

Every Whispering Garden enrollment honors a special animal while supporting the future of veterinary medicine at Kansas State University.

You’ll also receive a keepsake magnet featuring your pet’s Whispering Garden tribute.

Forever keepsake

Once your gift is made, you or the person whose pet is being honored will be asked to share a favorite photo and a brief message for the tribute. Messages maybe up to 25 characters in length, including spaces.
