Scholarships fuel K-State’s mission of accessible education.
Many K-Staters juggle multiple jobs to pay their tuition, but scholarships can relieve some of that burden and give students time to broaden their academic experience. The world needs more students like this.
How have scholarships made a difference for you?
“I chose K-State because of the many scholarships they offer. I’m the oldest of seven kids, so I was working two jobs to save for college. But without scholarships, I still wouldn’t have been able to come to K-State.”
What motivates you to succeed?
“Giving back to my community is important to me, so I volunteer with Special Olympics. I’m studying to be an athletic trainer. I want to help all types of athletes make their goals a reality.”
How does K-State help you on your journey?
“I knew I wanted to come here after shadowing the baseball team’s athletic trainer. And the faculty have really supported me with advising and career preparation. They make me feel like an individual, not just a number. And the accelerated five-year master’s program helps keep my degree affordable.”
