A match means more. For example, when you give $50,000 to a family scholarship, the Vanier family will match it for a total of $100,000.
How the match works
You create a new scholarship via one-time gift or pledge.
Your gift is matched with $50,000 by the Vanier family.
$3,500 in scholarship awards will be made available each year to address strategic enrollment.
Watch your gift multiply
- When you give a minimum of $50,000 under the Vanier Family Match Program, it is eligible to receive a match of $50,000 from the Vanier family.
- You can choose to make a one-time gift of $50,000 or an annual pledge of $10,000 over five years.
- A gift fee will come out of the principal.
- This matching opportunity is intended for emerging philanthropists. Only first-time major gift donors are eligible.*
- Limit two opportunities per household.
- If pledge payments are one year overdue, your money becomes expendable and the match money is returned to the Vanier Family Match Program.
- The match is initiated once the pledge agreement is signed and the first pledge payment is received.
- Choose any K-State college, the Graduate School, Staley School of Leadership, K-State Olathe, or K-State Salina you wish to support. Criteria are streamlined to maximize student eligibility.
- The scholarships will be awarded centrally.
- Once your gift is received and the fund documentation complete, your scholarship will begin making an impact as soon as possible. A portion of the scholarship funds will be made available to the University to award to students. Annual earnings are reinvested during the fund’s first four years to strengthen the endowment and support generations of future students.
