Proud to be a K-Stater

Student Opportunity Awards are made possible through the K-State Proud fundraising campaign – an effort led by the K-State Student Foundation. More than 1,000 students have been helped so far – and the number keeps growing.

Eligibility requirements for the K-State Proud application are as follows:

  • The student’s emergency financial situation is temporary.
  • Other sources of gift aid are unavailable.
  • The student is currently enrolled in a degree seeking program.

Applications may be submitted throughout the year and are reviewed on a weekly basis throughout the semester and at least monthly during breaks. Recipients are selected based on recommendations from the Student Opportunity Award Committee.
