The moment is now to save Anderson Hall.
Our challenge
Renewing our historic icon
From our world-class veterinary medicine school and our ag innovation initiative to our growing enrollment, K-State leads the way as a premier higher-education institution.
An iconic symbol of K-State for more than 140 years, Anderson Hall has stoically witnessed the university’s growth and excellence. But now, it’s once majestic reign has given way to:
- Shifting and cracked stonework that has created safety concerns
- Deteriorating windows and seals leave the building vulnerable to weather conditions
- Aging woodwork that allows water — and bats — to enter the building

Our opportunity
Back to the future
With its towering stature, impressive stone arches and hundreds of windows, we don’t want to change Anderson Hall — we want to make it better.
A much-needed interior restoration of the first floor in 2024 was a crucial start, but what we need to do next is clear:
- Replace or restore the roof, eaves, wood trim and all 268 windows using approved historical preservation techniques.
- Modify the entry walk-ups, stabilize the foundation and restore exterior stonework and masonry.
Philanthropic support will give Anderson Hall a facelift, if you will, to refresh, rejuvenate and restore its glory.

Our committment
Funding breakdown
Acting now protects the progress we’ve made and halts deterioration. But most importantly, it Cuts the project price tag in half.
Anderson Hall is eligible for matching state funds through the 2024 Campus Restoration Act, which means every philanthropic dollar committed will be matched 1:1, putting a $45 million project within reach for much less.
